Terms and Conditions — Know the Couple

About these terms

These terms govern your use of Know the Couple (knowthecouple.com), a wedding quiz game service operated by Taninnovate Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

By placing a pre-order or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Pre-orders

Know the Couple is currently available for pre-order. By placing a pre-order, you are purchasing early access to the product at a discounted price.

The product is expected to launch in April 2026. We will notify you by email when access is available.
If we are unable to deliver the product by your wedding date, you are entitled to a full refund.
Pre-order customers will receive access before the general public.

Pricing and payment

The pre-order price is £29.00 (GBP), a one-time payment per wedding event.
Payment is processed securely by Stripe at the time of pre-order.
Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. VAT may be calculated based on your location during checkout.
We reserve the right to change pricing for future customers, but your pre-order price is locked in at the time of purchase.

Refund policy

We offer a full refund if:

You are not satisfied with the product for any reason
The product does not launch before your wedding date
You change your mind at any time before using the product at your event

To request a refund, email hello@knowthecouple.com with your order details. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days back to your original payment method.

What you get

Your purchase includes:

Access to the Know the Couple quiz builder
The ability to create custom questions about your relationship
A unique QR code for your wedding guests to join and play
A real-time leaderboard showing guest scores
Use of the service for one wedding event

Your purchase is for personal, non-commercial use at a single wedding or celebration event.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content of the questions you create. Please do not include questions that could be offensive, discriminatory, or harmful.
You are responsible for sharing the QR code with your guests and ensuring they have internet access to play.
You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the service.

Guest participation

Guests join the quiz by scanning a QR code and entering a display name. No account creation or app download is required.
Guest display names and scores are visible to all participants during the quiz.
We do not collect personal information from guests beyond their chosen display name.

Intellectual property

The Know the Couple name, branding, and software are owned by Taninnovate Ltd.
The questions and content you create remain yours. We do not claim ownership of your quiz content.
We may use anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. “average number of questions per quiz”) to improve the service. We will never share identifiable quiz content.

Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime.
We recommend testing your quiz before your wedding day to ensure everything works as expected.
We are not liable for issues caused by internet connectivity, guest device compatibility, or other factors outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the service (£29.00).
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
